“As a small business, we do not need nor can we afford a full time human resources department. PRISM HR Consulting Services gives us peace of mind that our company is in legal compliance while giving us access to best practices and expertise in the industry.”
Vicki and David Zeman,
Owners
RainAid

Mary Beth Hartleb founded PRISM after realizing that many human resource departments were looking to outsource projects, and smaller companies were at a great disadvantage in managing human resource functions due to limited resources.
Mary Beth has spent the last twenty years in the human resources field working for Fortune 500 companies, while also developing human resource departments, policies and procedures for smaller, entrepreneurial ventures. She has worked in various industries including gaming, restaurant, telecommunications, broadcasting, and non-profit organizations.
With a diverse background in human resources, Mary Beth has worked in the areas of recruiting and staffing, training, compensation, benefits design and administration, policy and procedure development, mergers and acquisitions, OSHA compliance, and employee and labor relations. She has also worked in sales positions, operations and also teaches classes at the University of Southern Nevada and UNLV.
Education: Juris Doctorate, William S. Boyd School of Law, M.S. in Human Resource Management and a B.A. in Marketing and Business Administration from Upsala College.
Certifications: Senior Human Resource Professional (SPHR) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management.

As the published author of An Employee’s Guide to Stock Options (McGraw-Hill, 2003), Beth focuses on comprehensive planning for executives and their families. Her experience as a corporate executive and her time spent consulting for companies like AT&T, Coca-Cola, and Chevron led Beth to understand that successful professionals often don’t take the time necessary for planning, implementing, and managing their own financial circumstances, particularly in the complex areas of executive compensation like employee stock options, deferred compensation, and company-sponsored life insurance.
Beth created the Virtual CFO™ process, effectively integrating the fundamentals of comprehensive financial planning with the unique risks and rewards associated with executive compensation. She has completed comprehensive plans for clients at many Fortune 500 companies, including most publicly-held corporations based in Las Vegas. Beth also conducts dozens of financial education programs for companies interested in providing on-going instruction for their most valuable resource — their employees.
As a current faculty member for the National Institute for Estate Planners, Beth is educated in the most up-to-date tax and wealth-transfer planning strategies. She and her firm believe proper planning demands a team of professionals and are committed to providing these critical resources to their clients. Working with a network of estate planning attorneys and CPAs allows Beth to offer well-researched, integrated solutions for her clients.
